The Apartments at Coolidge School Installs Solar Panels
Watertown Apartment Community to Produce Clean, Renewable Electricity for the Next 20 Years
The Apartments at Coolidge School, located at 319 Arlington Street, is pleased to announce that they have installed solar panels on the roof of the building, specifically a 20.35 kW photovoltaic (PV) system by Zapotec Energy, Inc. in their community.
The Apartments at Coolidge School is the proud new owner of a 20.35 kW photovoltaic system atop its roof. The system utilizes 74 ET Solar 275 watt PV modules, four Solectria Renewables inverters, and a Panel Claw self-ballasted mounting system. The facility is owned and developed by Mitchell Proprieties, Inc. who contracted with Zapotec Energy, Inc. to design and install the photovoltaic system. Zapotec Energy partnered with Murphy Electrical and Industrial Control of Pembroke, MA to complete the installation of the system. The PV system is expected to produce over 24,000 kWh of electricity per year. “This PV system should be able to produce clean, renewable electricity for the next 20 years,” says Steve Coffrin, Design Engineer at Zapotec Energy.
“We are really excited about using this solar technology to power our community,” says Julia Noyes, Property Manager of The Coolidge School. “Not only is our building helping to shape a better, more energy-efficient future with these panels, we are also able to serve as a role model to other apartment communities in the area for them to do the same.”
